Always & Forever – Never Say Never

15 Oct

Is it just me or does it seem like a majority of the fictional love stories start out with divorce? I know the divorce rate has gone up since our grandparents decade but not only do people tell us on a daily basis that love doesn’t always last but now we have to read about it? I took a break from reading because I felt like every book I was finding started out with a couple getting divorced in order for the woman to find new love. The only way I am getting a divorce is if my husband is leaving me and there is nothing I can do about it!!!! I made a promise to him that I will be there for him until the day that he dies and that’s final. The worst part is picking up a book at the store, after reading the title you are interested, then you turn to the back and BAM it all started with a divorce. It’s sad enough that everyone else is setting us up for failure to begin with that reading about it just frustrates me.

B and I have a strong marriage. We have been through the toughest of tough times together and seen each other at our complete worst. Falling in love and being in love are things that you work at every day and when you are with the person that your supposed to be with it really isn’t that much work at all. Sure there are good days and bad days but if I had to count 99% of my days are fabulous with him. People change is an excuse I hear a lot but what happened to changing together? B has changed a lot since we had E but so have I and it’s only brought us closer.

Sometimes I think music/tv/news/movies/and books play a major role on how we live our lifes. When I listen to certain music I am instantly put in an amazing mood no matter how I was feeling before. Everytime I watch The Devil Wears Prada I refuse to work for someone who would treat me like that and then pray I don’t ever have to work for someone again đŸ˜‰ I guess my point is we can change how we feel, what we think, and what we want based on these things and all you have to do is choose wisely! I pick music that brings me up and that’s my go to! Stand up for who you are and what you want to be and hold on to the things you love the most because that is what is going to make or break your life.

I also want to give a special thanks to my sister, K, she has brought me into a whole new world of books .. motherhood. 10 points for K because she has got me back to reading and 10 more points for finding some pretty dang amazing books! I’ll be reviewing them when I finish. (Please don’t check back every day for a book review seeing as how it takes me months to read! But if you want some good book reviews check out the link to the side –> she is krittersramblings.) I didn’t realize that motherhood and parenting was such a huge section of books but boy oh boy will I be busy!

Love Always,

J
