Book, Nook, Hooked!

20 Oct

After reading Naptime Is the New Happy Hour by Stefanie Wilder-Taylor and realizing that there are some awesome motherhood books out there I went on a browse! I found some seriously good ones! Three of them which I ordered through Barnes & Noble (I love gift cards) and one which I am reading on my newly downloaded Nook. Did you know that you could read books from your computer? It’s a free download there’s one for almost everything (blackberry and etc.) http://www.barnesandnoble.com/u/free-nook-apps/379002321/?cds2Pid=24925&linkid=1615438

This thing is awesome! Although it costs about the same as buying a book you don’t have to pay shipping and handling and a majority of them are cheaper than the book itself. You can also lend a book to your friend! HOW cool is that!? The next best thing about it is you can read a sample of the book your interested in. It gives you the first 50 pages and you can decide whether or not you want this book or not. I don’t know about you but if I can’t get interested in the book in the first 50 pages I put it down. Good news is at the point you haven’t paid a cent. If you want to read the rest but not pay for it? Check out your local library. That’s my plan and then I’ll definitely knock out the late fee because I’ve already read the first 50 pages! Let’s just say I am not that great at returning library books on time 😉  The book I decided to sample for the nook is called The Accidental Mother by Rowan Coleman. I’ll let you know how that goes.

Other books I found and bought through Barnes & Noble were Between Friends by Kirsty Kiernan, The Brambles by Eliza Minot, and Little Earthquakes by Jennifer Weiner. Which may take a week or two to even come in.

Until then I am continuing to work on the crochet sweatshirt for E and next on my list of Martha Stewart’s Crafts is beading!

Sidenote: Sorry for not posting yesterday! I was in a foul mood and decided nobody wanted to listen to me rant 😛

Love Always,

J
