Before you look at the picture I’m about to show you – I have these jean shorts that I bought at a consignment store. The pockets hang out of the jeans and it drives me insane!! You are probably wondering why I bought them then, so I’ll go ahead and explain the whole story. I’m tiny. End of story.
Lol – just kidding. So I wear youth size clothes because I’m really petite and even though I’m a Mom, none of the women’s clothes fit my body at all – nor do they look anywhere near appealing. So I shop in the youth section. Finding something that fits me well, isn’t childish looking, and especially with shorts – aren’t TOO short is a tough battle. These jean shorts are mostly worn for painting, doing work outside, and being lazy around the house. I don’t wear them out but I still wanted a pair that fit nicely so picked these up thinking they would be perfect.
The pockets kill me. I flip them up under my jeans but they always fall back down so I finally decided to fix them myself.
I pinned where I wanted to sew and set the sewing machine to one of my favorite stitches. It looks like the sixth stitch on the first row:
Then I took my scissors and cut off the extra fabric on the bottom and TADA:
My shorts are no longer driving me crazy and ready to get some work done 😉
Thanks for stopping by!
Love Always,
J
