I had been checking out some amazing craft rooms and studios off Pinterest before I started planning mine. Luckily my dad knows how to take an mix of ideas and create something amazing out of it! Here are some of the photo’s I used as inspiration:
Instead of buying a desk I wanted to use a solid door so that I could custom order it the size I wanted. I have been working off of 6ft fold tables for so long I realized as much as I love the length of it, I wanted something a little bit skinner than 3ft. I also wanted to incorporate some of the storage closed and some open!
I loved the light gray on the walls in this picture. I really think a clean, light, bright color can really make a room more appealing to be in! The desk was out of the question because it was too small but since peanut is making an entrance I needed a murphy bed or sofa bed to make this a possible guest room. We lucked out with some amazing friends of ours who were getting rid of theirs – so we scooped it up!
This has a similar style of flooring that we are planning on doing! I also love the idea of an island work space as well, but since I don’t have room for a permanent so I am in the works of how to create one that can be broken down and stashed for company or have wheels and roll away! Since this one isn’t quite finished being planned out it will be a future project down the road.
I can’t wait to show it off! I have a feeling in a few more weekends we’ll be close to finished and the move in / organizing everything I own process will begin 😉
