Crafts: Soaking Up The Sun

8 May

The weather today was perfect! I grabbed all my crafts, set up outside, and got to work! I started out making report cards for the week because those are more of a need than anything else. I used the stuff that my mother-in-law gave me and did a little repurposing. I used the cards she had and cut the front off, then I cut the inside of the card up and made the area for the name & dateย and writing area for the daily activities. I didn’t do anything fancy with them besides the flowers and beads because I thought the cards were busy enough as they were. Check um out!

I was trying to get two frames today but so far I have only finished one. I got the blue background for the second one finished but I still have to pain the whales on it so hopefully I’ll be able to finish it later tonight so you can see it. I did get done one though! Let me know what you think..

Then B got a few good pictures of me and I took a picture of my favorite baby girl

She’s wearing the outfit Nana bought for her this past week ๐Ÿ˜€ She always picks the cutest outfits!

So I guess you could say it was the perfect Mother’s Day. B cleaned the entire house while we were at church, he’s been doing all the laundry, he’s making me dinner, and he’s been a super big hand with E today so that I could do crafts.

Hopefully when Father’s Day comes I can do the same for him.

Love Always,

J

Daily Life: Happy Mommy’s Day To Me!

7 May

This morning I woke up with a list of garage sales to go to! My sister sent me this seriously AWESOME website where you put in your zip code and what you’re looking for (Clothing, Furniture, Baby Stuff, Kitchenware, Etc.) and it tells you where all the garage sales are and what all they are selling! SUPER COOL! If you want to check it out its: http://yardsaletreasuremap.com/

Not only did I have a great time hanging out with my mom but I found some seriously awesome deals. I went to this one place that was selling sewing stuff, fabric, batting, etc. and I got all this for a dollar! Some of these are 4 yards but most of them are 1-2 yards:

Hoorayyy! Then we went to another place and I snagged these frame boxes to hang up on my wall. They need a little TLC (cleaning) but I am so excited to use this for decorations.

Totally off subject .. my mother-in-law was going through her scrapbooking stuff and gave me a box of goodies, so you’ll be seeing some of this stuff when I get some crafting time.

I also bought these with my monthly crafting allowance from my mom (a Christmas present I highly recommend to crafty people who need a budget and to not spend all the money at once!!) I’ll be using this for picture frames and report cards!

And of course I am throwing in a picture of E in the middle of chowing down on some crackers. This face is my mother’s day gift ๐Ÿ˜€

What a cutie pie!

So hopefully there will be some awesome crafty things coming out of this huge find at the garage sales! Now I just need some time ๐Ÿ˜‰

Love Always,

J
