The first day here!

20 May

Went so well! Emma, who used to scream when sand touched her toes has successfully covered herself in it in one day!

Her first job was to cover Papas feet which she thought was amusing.

Then it was time to build sand castles!! Papa being the engineer that he is decided to help her plan and build accordingly!

Then after an entire day of sunshine and sand, someone passed out while watching the waves come in.

She also didn’t leave me much room to share the bed with her..

I’m excited for a week of this!

A Papa Filled Weekend

26 Apr

Photo: Loving her much needed Papa time!

This girl was soaking up some Papa time while I was in town getting some work done. It worked out that my work lined up being this weekend because there was also a huge garage sale in their community and we scored so sweet finds!

Here’s a sneak peak at one of the goodies we got. I’ll be doing a post later with some of the other finds we got! My favorite moment was when she pulled up the chair and beside her and said that was going to be her sisters seat 🙂 I’m so excited that she’s excited for Peanut to come!

P.S. Yes my little girl loves Cars and Transformers. She is a daddy’s girl for sure!

Weekend Round Up

27 Aug

It never gets old seeing Emma enjoy her weekends 🙂

Brian set up his old video game system on Emma’s little TV and he was teaching her how to play some of the games 🙂 It’s amazing how fast she picks on things!

They took turns playing Zelda and Mario! I have a feeling Emma is going to grow up in Daddy’s footsteps and have a love for technology! She is already crazy in love with the iPad!

After some indoor fun we needed some outdoor fun! Emma had a great time making “gingerbread” men out on the sidewalk with the neighborhood kids!

We had used Emma’s body as a template and she screamed, “Look Mommy! That’s me!!”

Our little sports girl, I have no idea which one she will stick to but she loves baseball, basketball, soccer, golf, and football. We’ll see which one ends up being her favorite! Mommy was a softball player and Daddy played golf and tennis so she may surprise us both!

Such a happy girl! I love that she enjoys so much at this age. It’s really fun to try new things with her (minus food 😉 haha!) Speaking of food she got really lucky this weekend and went out with Papa and Ope one night and Nana and DoDo the next!!

Emma loves this place because there is so much to see and Papa loves it because it’s good southern cooking!

It’s one of the few mom and pop places around. We are looking forward to finding some more!

Butterfly Flowers

4 Jul

Last weekend we spent some time with the family and we took Emma to a nursery. Papa was picking out flowers for his deck and wanted to take Emma to see the fishies:

The first rule of spending the day with Papa is to never go anywhere hungry! If your belly isn’t happy – you aren’t happy!! I personally absolutely LOVE that rule! Emma on the other hand – just likes to make Papa laugh 🙂

You have to admit they are a cute pair!! It wasn’t that long ago that I was the one holding Papa’s hand in awe of how amazing he is.

There were huge fans there that Papa kept going by and Emma would laugh and cover her ears. I couldn’t resist getting a shot of this!

While we were there we had to look for “butterfly” flowers because that’s what she had decided she wanted Papa to get her!

We took a break from finding the perfect flowers and watched the fish. Emma was mesmerized!

The set up for these fish was so gorgeous I couldn’t resist showing it off! If we ever have the spare money to do some extra landscaping these are exactly the kind of rocks I’d love to have framing our gardens.

One of my favorite flowers 🙂 I love these little puffs of joy!!

06-30 033

Another stop to see the fish!? I think it’s mandatory! I love Papa and Emma time 🙂

06-30 034

I stopped to check out the cactus side of the nursery. Emma and I love to check out the little terrariums on Pinterest – this may be a future project for us!

My little cheeseball making silly faces again 😀

And here it is! The “Butterfly” flower that Emma chose to take home!

It’s been a few days and it’s finally sprouting new flowers 🙂 I’m proud of my little gardener!

Hope you all have a wonderful 4th!
