Daily Life: Fabulous Friday’s

29 Apr

Although I worked today it really seemed like I was on the couch all day reading 😀 What a perfect work day huh? P napped all morning woke up to eat and play for two hours then went back to sleep! Both E and P slept at the same time for 2 and half hours!!

Yeah let’s just say I finished the Pretty Little Liars series and there was a huge twist at the end. Enough of a twist that all of my guesses were completely wrong! As much as I loved reading this series I have to say I was a little disappointed in it. Every time you started a new book the first chapter seemed to be reminding you of everything that happened in the last and when you are reading them back to back you just want to skip through the whole chapter because you already know!! The other disappointing thing was by book 3 I realized that whoever they hinted it was going to be .. it wasn’t. So when I was reading 4 through 8 I just assumed the hints were wrong, which made it a little boring. I found myself searching for other possible hints that could lead me to the answer but I got no where. Now don’t get me wrong! I did like these books and obviously kept reading until the last one, I just might have tweaked it a little if I were the writer.

So back to P! She is crawling now! And by crawling I mean getting across the floor to whatever toy she finds most interesting. I also caught her playing in her crib today. She was bouncing on her knees playing with her little blankie toy. So cute! Since the girls napped all day we didn’t have much to get fussy so both of them were constantly in a good mood!! Lucky me!! We also went for a walk to keep them entertained until Mommy came to pick up P.

I’m lucking out double time tonight because B is making dinner. We tried this recipe from his mom for sloppy joe’s and they are to DIE FOR! Coming from someone how doesn’t eat plain meat, and by that I mean I don’t eat meat without some kind of sauce, seasoning, bread, potatoes, or a zillion other additions 😀 When my parents made sloppy joe’s I made a face, a grunt, and ate my buns with as little meat as possible. Oh and devoured the fries that came with! When B makes sloppy joe’s I eat them whole, in seconds! They were so delicious I ate two!! So yeap, I don’t have to cook tonight, it’s going to be a fantastic meal, and I already made pasta salad yesterday for a yummy side (along with some chips). Yummy!!

Now if this headache that came out of no where would take a hike..

Daily Life: Lazy is in, productive is out!

6 Apr

Apparently my life has taken a complete turn! I used to be so productive .. what happened!? Now I feel like I am writing post after post and status after status about being lazzyyy. Today P came over and she was still teething. Poor thing is still miserable but today was a short day for me. E was her usual ridiculous self imitating P and laying on the floor in a full-blown tantrum for who knows what reason!? Ignoring is not the solution to this problem, she just gets louder. Distracting her works half the time, but this time I broke down in a giggle. I couldn’t take it anymore and her face expression was just hilarious! As soon as I started giggling she stopped and looked at me like I was a crazy person – which I might be – but then she started giggling too. Let’s hope she doesn’t start to think that tantrums are funny but realizes that it’s not getting her anywhere 😛

So that was pretty much my entire day. Once P left I crashed on the couch and didn’t move into B said “Dinner’s ready”, and where am I right now after eating, feeding E, and having a dessert? Sitting on the couch 😛 Right now I am debating on reading Pretty Little Liars or crocheting. My friend’s status said she was reading her book and drinking wine and I thought that sounded amazing. I told her I might do the same thing but replace the wine with liquor 😛 I am so not a wine person! But at the same time crocheting is looking pretty fun!! Maybe I’ll do a little bit of both, preferably the crocheting before the drinking or it could result in a hazardous situation 😉

Maybe tomorrow will be more productive? I am planning on cleaning up outside if the weather is nice and JoAnn‘s finally called me about my frames coming in so I’ll probably be picking them up (YAY twenty new blank canvas frames to crazy with). I’ll be stocking up on a few other things while I am there I am sure 😛

Hope everyone has a great night! I have a feeling mine is going to be wonderful!!

Daily Life: Weekend Away

29 Mar

This past weekend was SO much fun! B and I went to see Perpetual Groove in concert on Saturday and they were AMAZING!! They had a band called Zoogma open for them and they were awesome too. If you like background music that puts you in a good mood this is what you need. Almost everyday during nap time I turn on P-Groove and craft or do chores. It’s relaxing, fun, upbeat, easy to listen to music. Zoogma was a little more upbeat but totally cool. They might be more of a get you hyped up band but I loved it.

You should check them both out!!

It was so nice to have a weekend that didn’t involve picking up toys over, and over, and over again. As much as I missed my little E, B and I were dying for some time to ourselves. We also picked the best company!! B’s friend from work P and his friend J (yes we have the same name) were so much fun!  I have a feeling we’ll be doing other things with them later 😉

So when B and I got back from our awesome trip, neither of us really sit down or take a break. We knocked out all of the cleaning, most of the laundry, and got this place ready for the girls Monday morning. Usually I am scrambling around on my own trying to do everything at once and failing miserably. This time B was right by my side with extra hands and his trademark smile 🙂 I love when we work together.

Then Monday happened! Both girls were here and it flew by so fast! It was probably the easiest day I have had! Shocking because Monday’s are hard to begin with, plus it’s the day I have three kids at once!! The rest of this week should be just as easy. Today I plan on doing a few more spring cleaning things, some crafting (as always), and maybe even finishing Pretty Little Liars #3! Or who knows, maybe I won’t get anything done today 😉 It is my day off after all!!

Pretty Little Liars 2

23 Mar

Barnes and Noble description:

Spencer stole her sister’s boyfriend. Aria is brokenhearted over her English teacher. Emily likes her new friend Maya . . . as much more than a friend. Hanna’s obsession with looking flawless is making her sick. And their most horrible secret yet is so scandalous that the truth would ruin them forever.

And why shouldn’t I tell? They deserve to lose it all. With every crumpled note, wicked IM, and vindictive text message I send, I’ll be taking these pretty little liars down. Trust me, I’ve got enough dirt to bury them alive.

This was a tricky one! I thought I knew who A was but I was completely wrong!! I flew through this book in no time and am on to the next one! This series is great so far!!

Love Always,

Books: Pretty Little Liars

13 Mar

Barnes and Nobles Description:

After the queen bee of their clique mysteriously disappears during a slumber party on the last day of seventh grade, the remaining four girls drift apart. Now, three years later, the Rosewood, Pa., former pals are practically strangers, but still plagued by the secrets that they shared with Alison and new scandals they are trying to keep under wraps. Then they each start receiving cryptic messages from someone named “A” who seems to know everything, and makes them wonder, “Was she back?” The four girls are fairly standard types: there is free-spirited Aria, overachiever Spencer, good-girl Emily, a star swimmer, and glamorous Hanna. Their scandals, too, echo the over-the-top fare typical of guilty pleasure books: Aria is having an affair with her new AP English teacher, for example, while Emily finds that kissing a girl “felt a zillion times different than kissing” her boyfriend. Readers will certainly find enough drama to keep the pages turning (one girl battles bulimia, another steals her sister’s boyfriend and then there’s what’s buried in Alison’s old backyard), and they will no doubt have fun piecing together who and what could be behind those bizarre messages. This is clique lit with a mystery twist: the author has spun a plethora of possibilities sure to make readers reach for the next installment in this planned four-book series and beyond.

If you like Gossip Girls then you’ll like this series. It’s a little more mysterious but the same sort of high school drama. The mystery was definitely a key factor in this book and kept me wondering what was going to happen next. As soon as I finished reading this, I ordered the next one on my nook and started reading it immediately. It’s definitely a teen, young adult book but somehow I can’t stop reading! I would say that I don’t think I’d let E read this until she was in adult enough to read it without imitating it 😉

We’ll see if the next one is just as good!

Love Always,
